A Venezuelan-based violist and teaching artist, Maria Paparoni began her musical studies with El Sistema, the Venezuelan National Youth Orchestra Foundation. She has been a violin/viola faculty at Orchestrating Dreams and UpBeat NYC, programs dedicated to community-based music education. As an active performer, she has appeared on international stages including Royal Albert Hall, Gasteig Philharmonie,Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall and Carnegie Hall. Maria is currently completing her master studies at Manhattan School of Music under Shmuel Katz, associate principal violist of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra
