
Sixteen year old pianist Olivia Larco studied piano with Fabio Bidini at the Colburn School, and Veda Kaplinsky at Aspen Summer Music Festival.
Olivia’s recent performances include a debut with the South Carolina Philharmonic with Maestro Eugen Bekker (Tchaikovsky Concerto), with YOLA National Festival Orchestra at Disney Hall in Los Angeles as a guest artist with Gustavo Dudamel, and solo concerts at Musikfestspiel-Saar (Germany), Beijing Central Conservatory, Mixon Hall at Cleveland Institute of Music, Harris Hall at Aspen Summer Music Festival, and on NPR’s From the Top, among others.
Olivia’s competition wins include first prizes at Arthur Fraser International Competition, 2024 (age fourteen and the youngest competitor) and Colburn Seminar Steinway Competition, 2023 (also the youngest competitor), and second prize at the Vancouver Symphony Young Artist Competition. She is a Lang Lang Scholar (2022-2024), and was awarded the full scholarship Fellowship for five years at Aspen Summer Music Festival where she was first accepted at age eight, the youngest pianist ever to be accepted.
In 2023, Olivia performed with the members of the Fort Worth Symphony in a performance of Chopin’s E minor concerto with Maestra Valentina Peleggi as a Festival Artist for the Cliburn Junior International Piano Competition.
In May of 2019, Olivia made her national television debut on the ABC’s hit sitcom “Modern Family” in their grand finale episode “A Year of Birthdays” as a “piano prodigy”.
She has worked in masterclasses with Stephen Kovacevich, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Enrico Pace, Mikhail Voscressensky, and Boris Slutsky.
