Minnesota native Paul Macres is a bassist with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and Instructor of Bass at Loyola University. He has performed with many ensembles across the across the country, including the Minnesota Orchestra, San Diego Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, and Nashville Symphony.
Paul spends his summers performing in Boulder, Colorado with the Colorado Music Festival. Other summer engagements include the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and the Lakes Area Music Festival.
Paul holds a Bachelors of Music from the Manhattan School of Music, a Masters of Music from Rice University, and a Professional Studies Certificate from the Colburn School.
