Marian Castro Anton is a Venezuelan double bass player trained in El Sistema, an internationally acclaimed initiative that transforms lives through music. She is currently a member of The Orchestra San Antonio and serves as Principal Double Bass of The Philharmonic Orchestra Project. Now, Marian serves as the Ascend Director of The Orchestra San Antonio's official education program, Ascend. Marian has performed with the South Florida Symphony Orchestra, Andrea Bocelli, Miami Festival Orchestra, New Canon Chamber Collective, and the Symphony of the Americas, as well as with Lynn Philharmonia, Boca Symphonia, and the Kravis Center Pops Orchestra. She has also toured internationally with the Caracas Youth Symphony.

Her musical education includes studies at the Latin American Double Bass Academy under Maestro Félix Petit, and masterclasses with Klaus Stoll, Jeff Bradetich, and Eugene Levinson. Marian actively contributed as a teaching artist in the South Florida community. She now resides in San Antonio, Texas, excited to contribute to its community through education and performance.
