Josiah Benavides developed an early appreciation for music, growing up exposed to a wide range of genres. His passion deepened through his experience as a percussionist in middle and high school, where he explored diverse percussive instruments and musical styles. These experiences shaped his understanding of music as a powerful source of connection, creativity, and shared joy for both performers and their audiences.
Currently a student at UT San Antonio, Josiah is pursuing a degree in Marketing with a minor in Nonprofit Management. As a Development and Community Relations Intern, he brings a growing background in media relations and fundraising, along with a strong interest in community engagement. He is eager to contribute bold, innovative ideas and help cultivate meaningful connections and community through the experiences of the musicians at The Orchestra San Antonio by aiding in the creation of memorable experiences for families, the casual & daily enjoyers of the classics, and donors alike.
